What is "The Series"?

The 10 Session Series is highly recommended instead of going through one or a handful of sessions. This program is systematically designed to maximize results, free you from chronic issues, and optimize balance, well-being, and fluidity in both body and mind. The beauty is that there is a definitive  beginning, middle, and end. This is done intentionally, in order to eliminate any  dependency on endless visits to therapists, pain management specialists, and doctors. It places you in charge of your vibrant health and well-being.
Structural Integration 10 Series

What to Expect in "The Series"

In order to create long lasting change, the Structural Integration Series must create length, health, and space in each layer of fascia, starting at the outermost layers and going deeper as the series continues, eventually reaching the core layers within your body. It then finishes up by balancing everything together. The Structural  Integration Series consists of 10 sessions aiming to produce effortless balance, ease, and fluidity in the human body.
The first three sessions are called  "The Sleeve" sessions. The intermediate four sessions are "The Core" sessions. The final three are “The Integrative” sessions which are aimed to relate the superficial fascial layers with the core layers and interact. Another important intention is to establish all the major structures of your body as an integrated whole, embodying your entire structure functionally and structurally stable. You will naturally feel all of your movements transmit and initiate from deeper within your core and move out through your sleeve, or superficial, fascial structures.

"The Sleeve" Sessions: 1-3
These are the superficial sessions. The “sleeve” of your body is the outer fascial layer, similar to a body sock. This is the part of your body that does the fast and large, or gross, movements. The goal for these sessions is to open, lengthen, organize, and restore health to these extrinsic layers, creating space for the more intrinsic layers to unwind and release.
  • Session 1 - Opening the Sleeve: Our focus is on increasing your breath in the rib cage, lifting your rib cage superior, breaking any chronic holding patterns you may have, creating a new awareness and appreciation within your body, and bringing your legs directly underneath your structure.
  • Session 2 - Support for The Body: Our goals are to lift your body from its foundation to counter the negative effects of gravity, to create verticality within your crus, countering any deviations in your knees, and to assist you in achieving a new appreciation for your foundation.
  • Session 3 - Lateral Line: Our intention is to lift your trunk off of your pelvis, pull your legs underneath your body to create a stable foundation for your body, and to introduce new movement into your body.

"The Core" Sessions: 4-7
The “core” of your body is the inner fascial layer. This part of your body is the area of slow, postural movements. The goal of these sessions is to open, lengthen, and organize these intrinsic layers.
  • Session 4 - Medial Line: In this session we aspire to create symmetry within the arches of your feet, it is our 2nd attempt to create verticality within the crus and thigh to counter deviations in the knees, and we will introduce work and release into the core of your body.
  • Session 5 - Anterior Line: Our intent in this session is to create alignment of your Lumbar Spine, improving cardiovascular and lymphatic supply to your viscera, improving your gastrointestinal / sexual / reproductive / eliminatory functions, reversing any rotations of your femur, improving your core's vitality by allowing for fresh/nutrient rich blood to the intrinsic structures of your peritoneal cavity and nerves exiting the spine, and increasing the support in your breath.
  • Session 6 - Posterior Line: Our objective in this session is to create movement and flexibility in your flexors and deep hip rotators, lengthen your posterior crura as well as your hamstrings, free up all connections of your Ischial Tuberosity, and lengthen your Sacrotuberous Ligament.
  • Session 7 - Adaptability: Our attention in this session is on improving your senses by creating blood flow to the cranial nerves/cranial sinuses/glands, improving your sinus flow by opening connective tissue deposits / compressions, as well as improving any specific conditions that you may have (TMJD, Bruxism, Malocclusion, Headaches (tension, cluster, or migraines), Brachial Plexus Impingement / Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, or Cranial Nerve Impingement).
Structural Integration and Alignment Therapy

"Balancing" Sessions: 8-10
The first seven sessions are about dissecting your body to get the individual parts working better. This last cycle of sessions is about assembling those individual parts into a higher functioning whole. This is the place where the sleeve and the core meet and interact. You will begin to experience movement, initiated by your core layer, then efficiently and gracefully transmit out through the sleeve layer of your body.
  • Session 8 - Structural Integration: We begin by focusing on creating balance, symmetry, and stability in your pelvic girdle, eliminating any nerve impingements or ischemia you may still be experiencing, and creating freedom of movement within your pelvis, thighs, and knees.
  • Session 9 - Functional Integration: Next, we strive to broaden your shoulder girdle to bring your arms directly off of the sides of your body, we lift any continual slouching in your rib cage or shoulder / pectoral girdle, we eliminate all nerve impingements at the neck / pectoral girdle / brachial plexus / elbow / antebrachium / wrist locations you may still be experiencing, and we create freedom of movement in your arms, which should always oppose your legs during gait.
  • Session 10 - Integration: We finish by revisiting any of your areas that are still dysfunctional, especially those presenting twists and rotations. Lateral lines and any other areas of present aberration may be addressed in this session to facilitate the most balanced body the therapist can help you achieve.

Fascia

Post Series

One of the health benefits of Structural Integration Therapy is that the fascial matrix keeps lengthening, unwinding, and adapting to your field of gravity between sessions and well after you complete your series. At approximately a year’s time, you may require a “maintenance session”, to continue refining your optimal posture, functionality, and balance. You may want to continue with a series again or you can proceed  with advanced work, ranging from an individual session to a series of specially designed treatments.
